A Crane and a Fox
Once upon a time, a fox and a crane became friends. As a result, the fox invited the crane to dinner. The crane accepted the invitation and arrived at the fox's location just before sunset.
The fox had made soup for his companion. But, because foxes are naturally cunning, he served the soup in flat dishes. So he lapped up the crane's share with his tongue, thoroughly enjoying its delectability.
The crane, however, was unable to enjoy it due to his long beak and had to return home hungry. The cunning fox was extremely happy.
After a few days, the crane invited the fox to dinner. The fox arrived at his destination on time. The crane greeted him and served him soup in a jug with a long and narrow neck.
As a result, the crane enjoyed the soup with his long beak. The fox's mouth couldn't reach the soup through the narrow neck of the jug.
He had no choice but to return home hungry. He realized now that he had been punished for his behavior with the crane.
