Keep an Eye Open

Once upon a time, there was a lion who became so old that he was unable to hunt for prey. So he told himself, "I need to do something to keep my stomach full or I'll die of starvation."

He kept thinking and thinking until an idea struck him. He resolved to lie down in the cave pretending to be ill, and anyone who came to investigate about his health would become his prey.

The old lion carried out his evil plan, and it began to work. Many of his supporters were killed. But evil is fleeting.

A fox came to see the sick lion one day. Because foxes are naturally intelligent, the fox stood at the cave's mouth and looked around. His sixth sense was activated, and he became aware of the truth.

So, from outside, he called out to the lion, "How are you, sir?" The lion responded, "I'm not feeling very well. However, why don't you come inside?"

The fox then responded, "I'd be delighted to come in, sir! But after seeing all the foot prints going into your cave and none coming out, I'd be foolish enough to enter."

The fox then went to warn the other animals.
