The Elderly Wise Owl
In an oak tree, there lived an elderly owl. Every day, he noticed what was going on around him.
Yesterday, he saw a small kid helping an elderly man in carrying a big basket. He witnessed a small child yelling at her mother today. He said less as he observed more.
He spoke less but listened more as the days passed. The elderly owl observed people conversing and sharing stories.
He overheard a woman mention that an elephant had crossed a fence. He heard a man declare that he had never made a mistake in his life.
The elderly owl had seen and heard what had happened to people. Some people improved, while others declined. But the old owl in the tree had become smarter with each passing day.
Moral Lesson
Be more vigilant. Less talking and more listening. This will teach us wisdom.
